How to use Scale Ramps?
Please ensure that your ramp is damage-free before use. Use on a flat, level surface and ensure that the ramp makes full contact with the ground. Place a Scale Ramp before each wheel Check that your steering wheel is straight and drive up at a slow, steady pace.
No jack needed
Jacking your car up to scale your race car can often be time consuming, damaging to the car, and potential unsafe if not done properly. Our Sale Ramps are a quick, simple and safe way to raise your vehicle directly onto the scales. Being made of an extremely strong but very lightweight material they are far easier to lift and to store than heavy steel or wooden alternatives and the non slip underside makes them simple to use. They are ideal for rally cars, race cars, dirt grass cars and even oldtimers that you want to prepare for racing.
Very strong
Next time you reach for your racing scales, hold back on the jack and instead reach for this set of four Scale Ramps. They will save you time setting up, and provide 6 cm of height to get your car ready for positioning on your racing scales. Each scale ramp can support up to 700 kg for a total vehicle weight capacity of 2800 kg. The 8.7-degree approach angle allows low-profile cars to easily mount onto your scales. At only 1,1 kg per ramp, they are ideal for track days, auto shops or personal garages as they can be moved and transported with ease.
Patented process
These Scale Ramps are manufactured using an exclusive, patented process. They are constructed of 100% solid, high-density foam with a rugged anti-slip coating that results in a lightweight ramp solution that is strong, yet durable. They won’t slide on any surface, including smooth garage and workshop floors.
What is scaling?
Corner balancing, sometimes referred to as “corner weighting,” “weight jacking,” or “scaling,” involves adjusting the spring perches of a car to get a balanced diagonal weight on the tires. Ideally the car should have 50% of its weight on the Left Front and Right Rear tires, and 50% on the Right Front and Left Rear. Popular brands of scales are Intercomp, Longacre and B-G Racing. Some provide similar ramps, but they are much more expensive than our Race Ramps.
Cross weight
The diagonally related weight between the left-rear and right-front wheels is referred to as cross-weight or simply wedge. It is often measured as a percentage of the vehicle’s total weight. When more than 50 percent of the car’s weight is on the left-rear and right-front wheels, the car is said to have more wedge.
Light weight but strong
We make scale ramps with a patented super-lightweight 100% solid construction material which makes them highly durable and virtually indestructible It enables them to hold up to 5.960 lb or 2.700 kg) Each purchase contains four individual pads to service a whole car.
Anti-skid coating
Scale Ramps are made with a patented super-lightweight 100% solid construction material. They are not only very light, but also very strong. Because of their coating, Scale Ramps don’t slide whiles driving onto them, they have an anti-slip coating.
There are 4 different Scale Ramps
We have the Small version, comes as a set of 4. Then there is the Medium version. This set exists of 2 Scale Ramps, but are longer, so you can easily zero the scale, by rolling the car back and forth; without getting them of the Scale Ramps. Next is the Large version. They come as a set of 2 and have a much lower approach angle, which makes them the best scale ramps to use for extremely low race cars, for example with a splitter plate. And last there is the Extra Large version.. This set also exists of 2 ramps, but are higher, so if you want to use your scales in combination with turn plates, that is the set you want to buy!
